Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and avoid touching the LiDAR window with sharp objects.
Check LiDAR turret:
- Inspect the rotating LiDAR tower on top of the robot (if your Tesvor model has one). Ensure nothing is resting on it or blocking its rotation.
- Gently blow away dust from the LiDAR window using compressed air or a soft brush.
Test rotation:
- Power on the robot and listen closely: the LiDAR turret should spin quietly when the robot starts mapping.
- If it does not spin or makes grinding noises, the LiDAR motor may be jammed or failed.
If cleaning does not help: The LiDAR module or its cable may be defective. Because LiDAR alignment is critical, replacement should be done by a qualified technician. Do not disassemble the LiDAR unit itself.
