Possible Causes
LiDAR turret blocked by dust or object, LiDAR motor stuck or seized, LiDAR cable loose, LiDAR module internal failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before touching the LiDAR turret.
- 1. Inspect LiDAR turret: On top of the robot, locate the round LiDAR dome (if equipped). Check for any objects or covers blocking its rotation.
- 2. Clean the dome: Wipe the LiDAR window with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
- 3. Check for stuck turret: Gently try to rotate the turret by hand. It should move smoothly with slight resistance. Do not force it if it feels jammed.
- 4. Power-on test: With the top cover open (if possible), power the robot ON and listen for the LiDAR spinning. A grinding noise or no movement indicates a motor issue.
- 5. Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the LiDAR module. Verify the ribbon cable or connector is firmly attached to the main board.
- 6. Replace LiDAR module: If cleaning and reseating cables do not resolve E10, replace the LiDAR sensor module as a complete unit.
Warning: Do not open the LiDAR module itself; the internal optics are factory-calibrated and easily damaged.
