Possible Causes

Dock placed in cramped or hidden location, Dock IR signal blocked, Robot map corrupted, Front IR receiver dirty or faulty

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the dock is plugged in and stable.

  • 1. Reposition dock: Place the dock against a wall with clear space around it as recommended by Yeedi (typically 0.5 m on sides, 1.5 m in front).
  • 2. Clean IR windows: Wipe the dock's front and the robot's front IR receiver window with a dry cloth.
  • 3. Remap and re-dock: Delete the existing map and create a new one, ensuring the robot starts from the dock.
  • 4. Manual homing test: Place the robot a few meters in front of the dock and press Home. If it still cannot find the dock, suspect IR receiver or dock issues.
  • 5. Replace dock or IR receiver: Test with a new dock if available; otherwise, replace the robot's front IR receiver board.

Warning: Avoid placing the dock near stairs, mirrors, or under furniture; these can interfere with homing.
