Possible Causes
Dirty front IR sensors or camera (on visual models), LiDAR window smudged, Strong sunlight or mirrors confusing sensors, Outdated navigation firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before cleaning sensors.
- 1. Clean front sensors: Wipe the front bumper area, IR windows, and any top camera or LiDAR dome with a soft, dry cloth.
- 2. Control lighting: Avoid very bright direct sunlight or dark reflective floors during mapping runs.
- 3. Remap home: Use the app to delete the existing map and perform a fresh mapping run with doors open and obstacles minimized.
- 4. Firmware update: Check for and install any navigation-related firmware updates via the Yeedi app.
- 5. Check sensor modules (advanced): If navigation remains erratic, inspect and reseat connectors for the LiDAR, camera, or front IR boards.
Warning: Do not apply stickers or covers over the camera or LiDAR; this severely degrades navigation.
