Possible Causes
Old or corrupted map data, LiDAR or camera misaligned, Robot lifted or moved during cleaning, Firmware mapping bug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the robot starts mapping from the dock.
- 1. Delete old map: In the Yeedi app, remove the existing map and any saved room divisions.
- 2. Remap in one run: Open all doors and remove major obstacles, then start a full mapping run without moving the robot manually.
- 3. Check sensor alignment: Inspect the LiDAR dome or camera for any signs of impact or misalignment; ensure they sit flush and secure.
- 4. Firmware update: Install any available updates that may improve mapping accuracy.
- 5. Replace sensor module: If maps remain wildly inaccurate, the LiDAR or camera module may be faulty and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not pick up and relocate the robot during mapping; this confuses its position tracking.
