Possible Causes
Damaged CAN wiring harness, Incorrect CAN termination, Faulty engine ECU, Controller firmware incompatibility
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off DC power to the controller and engine ECU before unplugging CAN connectors.
- Inspect CAN wiring: Follow the twisted pair CAN‑H/CAN‑L cable between the Aksa controller and engine ECU. Look for cuts, abrasions, or crushed sections.
- Check connectors: Reseat all CAN plugs and inspect pins for corrosion or bending.
- Verify termination: Ensure 120 Ω termination resistors are present at both ends of the CAN bus as specified by Aksa/engine documentation.
- Power cycle: Restore DC power and restart the controller. If E20 persists, firmware or ECU issues may require manufacturer support.
