Possible Causes
Burnt motor winding, Disconnected motor harness, Faulty motor driver on PCB, Jammed valve causing motor overload
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and isolate water supply before servicing the motor or valve.
- Check motor connector: Locate the motor on the Idrobase valve head and ensure its plug is firmly connected to the control board.
- Test motor: With the motor disconnected, measure coil resistance and compare to specifications. An open or shorted winding indicates a bad motor.
- Check for mechanical jam: Attempt to manually rotate the cam or piston. If it is seized, disassemble and clean the valve as described for piston faults before replacing the motor.
- Board output test: If the motor tests good, the motor driver on the control board may be faulty. Check for output voltage during a regeneration command (qualified personnel only).
- Replace components: Replace the motor assembly if defective. If the board is not driving a good motor, replace the main control board.
