• Verify programming: Check that the water hardness, salt dosage, and capacity settings match your Tapworks model and local water analysis. Correct any errors.
• Perform manual regeneration: Initiate a full regeneration cycle to restore resin capacity. Test water hardness after completion.
• Assess resin condition: If water remains hard soon after regeneration, the resin may be fouled with iron or organics. Consider using a resin cleaner according to Tapworks recommendations.
• Inspect flow meter: Ensure the turbine spins freely and that the control registers flow correctly. Miscounted flow can cause capacity errors.
• If E13 persists and resin is old (10+ years) or badly fouled: Replace the Tapworks resin media with the correct grade and volume for your model, or consult a professional.
