Possible Causes
Stuck horizontal louvre, Failed swing stepper motor, Broken louvre linkage, Faulty indoor PCB louvre drive circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working near moving parts.
- Check for obstruction: Open the front panel and inspect the horizontal and vertical louvres. Remove any foreign objects (toys, plastic, dust build-up) that may block movement.
- Manually move louvre: Gently move the louvre by hand with power off. It should move smoothly. If it is jammed, inspect the side pivots and link arms for damage.
- Access swing motor: Remove the front cover to expose the swing motor (usually on one side of the louvre assembly). Check that its connector is firmly plugged into the indoor PCB.
- Inspect gears: Look for stripped plastic gears or broken linkages between the motor and louvre.
- Replace faulty parts: If the motor is not turning when swing is commanded (with power restored) and no obstruction is present, replace the AEG swing motor assembly or louvre kit as per model.
- If E7 persists after motor replacement: The indoor PCB output may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
