How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the outdoor isolator before opening the outdoor unit.
- Identify sensor type: Consult the AEG service label or manual to confirm whether F2 refers to ambient or coil sensor on your model.
- Locate sensor: Ambient sensors are usually clipped near the air intake grille; coil sensors are attached to the condenser coil.
- Check attachment: Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped and not dangling. Reattach if necessary.
- Inspect cable: Look for UV damage, cracks, or rodent bites on the cable. Replace if damaged.
- Test resistance: With a multimeter, check sensor resistance at outdoor temperature. Replace with a matching AEG outdoor NTC sensor if readings are abnormal.
- If F2 remains: The outdoor PCB may require replacement by a professional.
