How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power. Wear gloves and a mask if sensitive to mould.
- Clean filters: Wash filters thoroughly with warm soapy water and disinfectant.
- Clean coil: Use a non-rinse evaporator coil cleaner approved for air conditioners. Spray onto the coil and allow it to work as per instructions.
- Clean drain pan: Wipe the drain pan with a cloth and mild disinfectant to remove slime and mould.
- Run in FAN mode: After cleaning, run the unit in FAN-only mode for 30–60 minutes to dry the coil.
- Regular maintenance: Repeat cleaning every few months to prevent odours returning.
