Indoor unit has power but will not start cooling or heating when commanded

• Check remote: Replace batteries and ensure the remote is set to the correct mode (COOL/HEAT) and temperature.
• Cancel timers: Disable any ON/OFF timers or sleep modes that may delay operation.
• Try manual operation: Use the emergency/manual button on the indoor unit (if provided) to start cooling. If this works, the remote or receiver may be faulty.
• Listen for outdoor unit: If the indoor fan runs but the outdoor unit never starts, there may be a communication or outdoor fault.
• If basic checks fail: Have an AEG technician test the indoor PCB, communication line, and outdoor PCB.
