Advertisements
Possible Causes
Flat or incorrectly installed batteries, Obstructed IR path, Faulty remote control, Faulty IR receiver board on indoor unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No special hazards, but avoid opening the indoor unit with power on.
- Replace batteries: Fit new, high-quality batteries in the remote, observing polarity.
- Check IR path: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the indoor unit's receiver window.
- Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera and press a button; you should see the IR LED flash on the screen. If not, the remote is faulty.
- Check receiver: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or indoor PCB may be faulty. Replace the AEG IR receiver module first, then PCB if needed.
