Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain line, Indoor unit not level, Cracked or displaced drain pan, Kinked drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and place towels or a tray under the unit to catch water.
- Check unit level: Use a spirit level to ensure the indoor unit is slightly tilted towards the drain side as per AEG installation instructions.
- Clear drain line: Locate the drain hose outside and use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out sludge and algae. Alternatively, blow compressed air gently from the indoor side (with care).
- Inspect drain pan: Remove the front cover and check the plastic drain pan for cracks or dislodged ends. Reseat or replace if damaged.
- Check hose routing: Ensure the drain hose runs downward continuously without loops or upward sections.
- If leaking persists: The drain pan or internal connections may be damaged and require professional repair.
