Water leaking from the outdoor unit or excessive water around base

Safety: Turn off power before working around the outdoor unit.

• Identify water source: Some water dripping from the outdoor unit in cooling or defrost is normal. Excessive pooling may indicate a blockage.
• Clear base holes: Remove debris from the base pan drain holes of the outdoor unit so water can escape.
• Check connected drains: If the indoor drain is routed through the outdoor unit, ensure the connection is tight and not leaking.
• Inspect for cracks: Look for cracks in the plastic base or drain tray. Replace if necessary.
• Provide drainage: Ensure the unit is installed on a surface that allows water to run off or into a drain.
