Possible Causes
Failed DC indoor fan motor, Faulty Hall sensor inside motor, Loose motor connector, Indoor PCB fan driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker. Fan blades are sharp; wear gloves.
Steps:
- 1. Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is blocking the indoor blower wheel.
- 2. Inspect wiring: Access the indoor control box and locate the fan motor connector. Reseat it and inspect for damage.
- 3. Spin test: Rotate the blower wheel by hand. If stiff or noisy, the motor may be failing.
- 4. Replace fan motor: If the motor does not start or runs erratically even after connector checks, replace the indoor DC fan motor with a compatible Airwell part.
- 5. PCB check: If a new motor behaves the same, the indoor PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
