Steps:
- 1. Check for foreign objects: Open the front panel and inspect the blower area for plastic, paper, or other debris. Remove carefully.
- 2. Inspect blower wheel: Look for cracks or missing fins. Gently push the wheel side-to-side; excessive play indicates loose mounting.
- 3. Tighten set screw: Access the blower wheel hub (usually from the right side after removing covers) and tighten the set screw securing it to the motor shaft.
- 4. Check mounting plate: Ensure the indoor unit is firmly attached to the wall bracket and the bracket is securely fixed to the wall.
- 5. Replace motor or blower: If noise persists and the motor feels rough when turned by hand, replace the indoor fan motor and/or blower wheel.
