American Standard air conditioner causes excessive vibration and rattling in the home

Safety first: Turn off power to the outdoor unit before adjusting its position or opening panels.

• Level the unit: Place a level on top of the condenser. Adjust the pad or add shims under the base to level the unit front-to-back and side-to-side.
• Add vibration pads: Install rubber isolation pads under the corners of the condenser base to reduce vibration transfer.
• Tighten panels: Check all screws on the outdoor cabinet panels and tighten any that are loose.
• Inspect fan blade balance: Look for bent blades or missing balance clips. Replace the fan blade if it appears damaged.
