Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse, Faulty power cord, Failed main control board, Defective control panel or power button
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Before opening the unit, unplug it. Do not work on live circuits.
Steps to restore power:
- Check outlet: Plug a lamp or tester into the same outlet to confirm power. Reset any tripped breaker or replace a blown fuse in the home's panel.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. Wiggle the cord gently at the plug and unit end; if power flickers, replace the power cord.
- Check reset buttons: Some Arctic King units have a reset on the plug (GFCI style). Press RESET firmly.
- Open control box: With power disconnected, remove the control box cover and inspect the main PCB for burnt components or blown internal fuses. Replace any accessible board fuse with the exact same rating if blown.
- Board/panel replacement: If the board has power (line voltage present) but no LEDs or response, replace the main control board. If the board has power but the keypad does not respond, replace the display/control panel.
