Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse on indoor PCB, Faulty indoor power supply board, Loose power wiring at indoor terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always turn off the main breaker before opening any electrical covers. If you are not comfortable with electrical work, call a professional.
- Step 1 – Check household breaker: Locate the breaker feeding the Ariston air conditioner and ensure it is ON. Reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, do not force it; there may be a short circuit.
- Step 2 – Verify power at outlet/isolator: If the unit is connected via an isolator switch, ensure it is ON.
- Step 3 – Inspect indoor terminal block: Remove the indoor front cover to access the power terminal block. Check for loose or burnt wires. Tighten screws if slightly loose.
- Step 4 – Internal fuse: Many indoor PCBs have a small glass or ceramic fuse. With power OFF, inspect and replace if blown, using the same rating.
- Step 5 – PCB replacement: If power is present at the terminals but the unit remains dead, the indoor power supply/PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
