Possible Causes
Open or shorted outdoor coil NTC sensor, Sensor not in contact with coil, Damaged sensor harness, Faulty outdoor PCB sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the main breaker before opening the outdoor unit. Beware of sharp metal edges.
- Step 1 – Access outdoor coil sensor: Remove the outdoor unit top or side panel to expose the condenser coil. Locate the NTC sensor clipped to the coil tubing.
- Step 2 – Check sensor mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the coil. Re-clip or secure it if loose.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor cable to the outdoor PCB. Look for cuts, rodent damage, or pulled connectors. Reseat the connector.
- Step 4 – Replace sensor if needed: If the sensor capsule is cracked or the cable is damaged, replace with an Ariston-compatible outdoor coil NTC sensor.
- Step 5 – PCB diagnosis: If a new sensor does not clear E07, the outdoor PCB sensor circuit may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
