Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on indoor PCB, Faulty EEPROM chip, Voltage spikes or unstable power supply, Defective indoor main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the indoor PCB.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for at least 5 minutes to fully discharge the board, then restore power and test. Sometimes transient memory errors clear with a full reset.
- Step 2 – Check power supply quality: If the unit is on a circuit with frequent brownouts or surges, consider using a voltage stabilizer or surge protector rated for the Ariston air conditioner.
- Step 3 – Inspect PCB: Remove the indoor cover and inspect the PCB for burn marks, moisture, or insect damage. Dry any moisture and clean dust with a soft brush.
- Step 4 – Firmware/board replacement: If E09 persists, the indoor PCB may need to be reprogrammed or replaced. This must be done by an authorized Ariston service center to ensure correct firmware.
