How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the front panel or display board.
- Step 1 – Try remote-only control: Remove batteries from the remote for 1 minute, reinstall, and try controlling the unit. Ensure nothing is pressing the front panel buttons.
- Step 2 – Inspect display board: Open the front panel and remove the display PCB cover. Check the ribbon cable between the display and main PCB; reseat both ends.
- Step 3 – Clean buttons: If buttons are sticky, clean around them with a slightly damp cloth (power OFF) and ensure the panel is not warped.
- Step 4 – Replace display PCB: If E14 persists and the main PCB appears fine, replace the display/keypad PCB assembly.
- Step 5 – Main PCB replacement: If a new display board does not resolve the error, the indoor main PCB may need replacement by a technician.
