Possible Causes
Faulty IR receiver board, Obstructed IR window, Loose IR receiver cable, Faulty indoor main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front panel.
- Step 1 – Check remote: Replace remote batteries and verify the remote works by viewing the IR LED through a smartphone camera (you should see a flashing light when pressing buttons).
- Step 2 – Clear line of sight: Ensure nothing is blocking the IR window on the indoor unit. Clean the window with a soft cloth.
- Step 3 – Inspect IR receiver board: Open the front panel and locate the small IR receiver PCB. Check that its connector is firmly attached to the main PCB.
- Step 4 – Replace IR receiver: If the remote is confirmed working but the unit does not respond and E19 appears, replace the IR receiver board.
- Step 5 – PCB replacement: If a new IR receiver does not fix the issue, the indoor main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
