Possible Causes

Severely clogged air filters, Blocked return air grille, Dirty or iced indoor evaporator coil, Failing indoor fan motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning or inspecting internal components.

  • Step 1 – Clean filters: Remove and wash filters thoroughly. If they are damaged, replace with genuine Ariston filters.
  • Step 2 – Check return and supply vents: Ensure furniture, curtains, or covers are not blocking the indoor unit intake or outlet.
  • Step 3 – Inspect for ice: Open the front panel and look at the coil. If covered in ice, turn the unit off and let it defrost completely. Then run in FAN mode for 30 minutes to dry the coil.
  • Step 4 – Fan operation: After defrosting, run the unit in FAN-only mode and listen for the indoor fan. If it is not running or is very slow, the fan motor may be failing and should be replaced.
