Possible Causes
Seized indoor cross-flow fan, Faulty DC indoor fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty indoor PCB fan drive circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and wait for the fan to stop completely before touching internal parts.
Steps:
- 1. Check for obstructions: Open the front panel and visually inspect the indoor blower wheel for foreign objects (plastic, paper, insect nests). Remove any obstructions.
- 2. Spin test: Gently rotate the blower wheel by hand. It should spin freely without grinding. If stiff or noisy, the bearings may be failing.
- 3. Inspect motor wiring: Remove the indoor cover to access the fan motor. Check the multi-pin connector to the indoor PCB; reseat firmly.
- 4. Power-on test: Restore power and command FAN mode. If the motor hums but does not turn, or starts then stops with E07, the motor is likely defective.
- 5. Replace motor: Remove the blower assembly and replace the indoor fan motor with a Baxi-specified part, ensuring correct wiring and mounting.
Note: If a new motor does not run, the indoor PCB fan driver may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
