Possible Causes

Faulty Hall sensor in DC fan motor, Loose motor feedback connector, Obstructed blower wheel, Faulty indoor PCB fan control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the indoor fan.

Steps:

  • 1. Remove obstructions: Open the front panel and ensure nothing is blocking the blower wheel or air outlet vanes.
  • 2. Inspect motor connectors: Access the fan motor and verify that all connectors (power and feedback) are fully seated on the indoor PCB.
  • 3. Spin test: Rotate the blower by hand to ensure it moves freely.
  • 4. Test operation: Restore power and run in FAN mode. If the fan starts then stops and E09 appears, the motor feedback is likely faulty.
  • 5. Replace motor: Replace the indoor DC fan motor assembly with the correct Baxi part.

Note: If a new motor does not resolve E09, the indoor PCB may need replacement.
