Possible Causes

Stuck louver blades, Faulty stepper motor for louver, Broken louver linkage, Faulty indoor PCB louver driver

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the unit before manually moving louvers.

Steps:

  • 1. Check for obstruction: Inspect the air outlet for objects blocking the louvers. Remove any debris.
  • 2. Gently move louvers: With power off, gently move the louvers by hand to feel for stiffness or binding. Do not force them.
  • 3. Inspect linkage: Remove the front cover to access the louver motor and linkage. Look for broken plastic arms or disconnected rods.
  • 4. Test motor: Restore power and change louver swing settings. If the motor does not respond or makes clicking noises, it may be faulty.
  • 5. Replace louver motor: Install a new Baxi louver stepper motor and reattach the linkage correctly.

Note: If the motor is good but not receiving voltage, the indoor PCB may need replacement.
