How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the front panel.

Steps:

  • 1. Check remote first: Replace batteries and verify the remote emits IR (view through a smartphone camera while pressing a button).
  • 2. Inspect receiver board: Remove the front cover to access the IR receiver/display board. Ensure its cable is firmly connected to the main PCB.
  • 3. Look for damage: Check the receiver board for cracks, water damage, or burnt components.
  • 4. Replace receiver board: If damaged or unresponsive, replace with a Baxi-compatible display/receiver module.

Note: If E21 persists with a new receiver, the indoor main PCB may be defective.
