Possible Causes
Failed indoor fan motor, Faulty fan capacitor (on AC motors), Loose fan wiring, Stuck blower wheel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the fan.
Steps:
- 1. Check fan settings: Ensure fan speed is not set to OFF or an ultra-low mode on certain controllers.
- 2. Inspect blower: Open the front panel and check if the blower wheel is obstructed. Remove any debris.
- 3. Spin test: Try to rotate the blower by hand. If seized, the motor or bearings have failed.
- 4. Wiring check: Verify the fan motor connector is firmly attached to the indoor PCB.
- 5. Replace motor/capacitor: If the motor does not run at any speed, replace the motor (and capacitor if used) with Baxi-approved parts.
