Strong musty or moldy smell when the Baxi air conditioner starts

Steps:

• 1. Clean filters: Wash filters thoroughly with warm soapy water and dry completely.
• 2. Coil cleaning: Use a foaming evaporator coil cleaner approved for air conditioners. Spray onto the coil fins and allow it to work as per instructions.
• 3. Clean drain pan: Access the drain pan and wipe away slime and debris. Flush with a mild disinfectant solution safe for plastics.
• 4. Dry mode: After cooling, run the unit in FAN or DRY mode for 15–30 minutes to dry the coil and reduce mold growth.
