Possible Causes
Failed louver stepper motor, Broken louver linkage or gears, Disconnected louver motor plug on indoor PCB, Obstruction preventing louver movement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before working on the indoor unit.
- 1. Visual check: With power on briefly, command the unit to start and change airflow direction. Observe if the louver attempts to move or is completely dead. Then turn power off again.
- 2. Remove front panel: Open the front cover and gently remove the louver assembly cover to access the motor area (usually on one side of the louver).
- 3. Check for obstructions: Look for foreign objects, warped plastic, or dirt buildup blocking movement. Remove any obstruction and test again.
- 4. Inspect linkage: Ensure the plastic arms connecting the motor to the louver blades are intact and properly seated.
- 5. Check motor connector: Trace the motor wires to the indoor PCB and reseat the connector.
- 6. Replace motor if faulty: If the motor does not move even when commanded and wiring is intact, replace the Beko louver stepper motor assembly.
- 7. If E7 persists after motor replacement: The indoor PCB output may be defective and require replacement.
