Possible Causes

Blocked condensate drain line, Faulty or stuck float switch in drain pan, Improper unit leveling causing poor drainage, Algae or sludge buildup in drain tray

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and be prepared for water spillage when opening the indoor unit.

  • 1. Check for water leakage: Inspect around the indoor unit for signs of water dripping or a full drain pan.
  • 2. Clean drain pan: Remove the front cover and filters. Access the drain pan under the evaporator coil and sponge out standing water.
  • 3. Clear drain line: Locate the condensate drain hose outside. Use a wet/dry vacuum on the hose end to suck out clogs, or blow through the line from the indoor side if accessible.
  • 4. Inspect float switch (if present): Some Beko models have a float switch in the drain pan. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the up (full) position. Clean slime and debris.
  • 5. Test operation: After cleaning, restore power and run the unit in cooling mode. Confirm that water flows freely out of the drain hose.
  • 6. Replace faulty float switch: If the switch remains triggered even with an empty pan, replace the float switch assembly.
