Possible Causes
Outdoor unit in defrost cycle due to frost on coil, System preheating to prevent cold air blow, Low outdoor temperature causing extended defrost
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: On many Beko models, H1 indicates a normal defrost or preheat operation rather than a failure.
- 1. Wait and observe: Allow 5–15 minutes for the unit to complete defrost or preheat. Heating should resume automatically.
- 2. Check outdoor unit: If safe, observe the outdoor coil for frost/ice. Some steam and water dripping during defrost is normal.
- 3. Ensure proper drainage: Make sure melted ice can drain away from the outdoor unit.
- 4. If H1 remains for a very long time and no heat: There may be a defrost control or sensor issue; contact a technician.
