Unit does not power on at all; display is blank and no response from buttons or remote.

Safety: Ensure your hands are dry when working with electrical outlets. Unplug the unit before opening any panels.

• Check outlet: Plug a lamp or other device into the same outlet to verify power. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
• Inspect power cord: Examine the Black+Decker power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, the cord must be replaced; do not tape or splice it.
• Try another outlet: Plug the unit directly into a different, properly grounded outlet (no extension cords) to rule out outlet issues.
• Internal fuse (advanced): If comfortable, remove the front or rear panel to access the main PCB. Look for a small glass or ceramic fuse. If blown, replace only with the same rating. If it blows again immediately, a short exists and requires professional service.
