Indoor unit will not respond to remote, display shows E0 and unit does not start cooling or heating.

Safety first: Turn off the AC using the isolator switch or circuit breaker and wait at least 5 minutes before removing any covers. Capacitors on the PCB can retain charge.

Steps to try:

• Power reset: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to allow the control board to fully discharge, then restore power and test. Many Blaupunkt indoor boards will clear transient E0 faults after a hard reset.
• Check display-to-main board harness: Remove the front cover of the indoor unit, locate the small display/IR receiver board and the multi-pin connector going to the main PCB. Ensure the connector is fully seated and not corroded or burnt.
• Inspect for surge damage: On the indoor main PCB, look for burnt tracks, bulged capacitors, or scorched components around the low-voltage power supply section.
• EEPROM / PCB replacement: If E0 returns immediately after reset and wiring is intact, the indoor main PCB (often labeled something like Blaupunkt Indoor PCB Assy with a model-specific code) is likely faulty and should be replaced as a complete board.

When to stop: If you are not comfortable working around live electronics or cannot identify the correct connectors, contact a qualified Blaupunkt service technician.
