Possible Causes
Indoor fan motor feedback error, Corrupted indoor PCB EEPROM, Loose indoor fan connector, Software fault after power surge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the indoor unit.
Steps:
- Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to reset the control logic. Restore power and test.
- Check indoor fan: Ensure the blower wheel is clean and spins freely. Inspect the motor connector on the PCB.
- Observe operation: If the fan fails to start or runs erratically before H4 appears, suspect the fan motor or driver circuit.
- PCB replacement: If H4 appears immediately on power-up and the fan hardware is good, the indoor PCB EEPROM may be corrupted. Replace the Blaupunkt indoor main PCB.
