Steps:

• Replace batteries: Install fresh, correctly oriented batteries in the Blaupunkt remote.
• Check IR path: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between remote and indoor unit; clean the IR window on the unit.
• Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; pressing buttons should show a flashing light on the camera screen. If not, the remote is faulty and should be replaced.
• IR receiver board: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver/display board in the indoor unit may be defective and should be replaced.
