Possible Causes
Dirty indoor filters and evaporator coil, Dirty outdoor condenser coil, Low refrigerant charge, Incorrect Bosch unit sizing for room
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning coils.
Steps:
- Clean indoor filters: Remove and wash filters with mild detergent. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Clean indoor coil: If accessible, use a soft brush and vacuum to remove dust from the evaporator fins. Do not bend fins.
- Clean outdoor unit: Clear vegetation and debris around the Bosch outdoor unit. Gently wash the condenser coil with low-pressure water.
- Check settings: Ensure the unit is in Cool mode, fan on Auto, and temperature set at least 3–5°C below room temperature. Close doors and windows.
If cooling is still poor: A Bosch technician should check refrigerant charge and system performance. Undersized units may never reach setpoint in extreme conditions.
