Possible Causes
Jammed horizontal or vertical louver, Broken louver linkage, Failed louver stepper motor, Disconnected louver motor harness from indoor PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the unit and disconnect power before manually moving louvers.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Open the front panel and inspect the swing louvers for foreign objects (toys, plastic, dust buildup). Remove any obstruction gently.
- Manually move louvers: With power off, gently move the louvers through their full range. They should move smoothly without binding. Do not force them.
- Inspect linkage and motor: Remove the lower cover to access the louver motor and linkage. Ensure the linkage is not broken or disconnected. Verify the motor connector is firmly plugged into the indoor PCB.
If E7 persists: The louver motor assembly may need replacement. Order the correct Bosch louver motor for your model and replace it, or have a technician perform the repair.
