Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain line, Improper indoor unit level (tilted forward), Cracked drain pan, Disconnected drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before working near water and electrical parts.
Steps:
- Check unit level: Use a spirit level to ensure the Bosch indoor unit is slightly tilted toward the drain side (usually right). If not, adjust mounting bracket if possible.
- Clear drain line: Locate the drain hose outlet outside. Use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out sludge and algae. You may see dirty water and debris come out.
- Inspect drain connection: Remove the front cover and check that the drain hose is firmly attached to the drain pan spigot and not cracked.
- Clean drain pan: Wipe out slime and dirt from the pan with a cloth and mild detergent.
If leaking continues: The drain pan may be cracked or the internal slope incorrect; a technician may need to remove and refit the unit.
