Indoor Unit Overload / Overheat Protection
E8 displayed; unit stops and may restart after some time; often occurs in very hot weather

Possible Causes
Blocked indoor air filters on Camry wall unit, Indoor heat exchanger clogged with dust, Restricted air outlet or return (curtains, furniture), Faulty indoor heat sink temperature sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the unit and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before inspection.
- 1. Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean the indoor filters as described for E2.
- 2. Check air paths: Ensure that the air inlet at the top and outlet at the front of the Camry indoor unit are not blocked by curtains, covers, or furniture.
- 3. Inspect indoor coil and fan: If accessible, check for heavy dust buildup on the coil and blower wheel. Clean using a suitable coil cleaner and brush.
- 4. Verify fan speed: Run the unit and cycle through fan speeds. If the fan does not respond or runs slowly, suspect a fan motor or PCB issue.
- 5. Sensor/PCB check: If E8 recurs with clean filters and good airflow, the indoor PCB’s temperature sensing or power module may be overheating and require replacement.
Tip: Regular filter cleaning (every 2–4 weeks in heavy use) greatly reduces E8 occurrences.
