Possible Causes

Defective indoor coil sensor (T1) on Camry indoor unit, Sensor not in contact with coil, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Fault on indoor PCB sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before accessing the indoor coil area.

  • 1. Check sensor mounting: Confirm that the T1 sensor is firmly clipped to the evaporator coil tubing and has not slipped out of position.
  • 2. Inspect cable: Look for nicks, cuts, or pinched sections in the sensor cable where it passes through plastic guides.
  • 3. Test resistance: As with other NTC sensors, measure resistance and compare with Camry’s specification at known temperatures.
  • 4. Replace sensor: If faulty, replace with a Camry-compatible T1 sensor and secure it tightly to the coil.
  • 5. PCB check: If a known-good sensor still gives F2, the indoor PCB’s sensor circuit may be defective and require replacement.
