Carrier outdoor unit is very loud or vibrates excessively

Safety: Turn OFF power before working around the outdoor unit.

• Step 1 – Check level: Place a level on top of the unit. If significantly out of level, adjust the pad or shims to level the unit.
• Step 2 – Inspect mounting: Ensure the unit is securely fastened to its base or pad. Tighten mounting bolts if loose.
• Step 3 – Isolation pads: If the unit is mounted on a roof or balcony, add or replace rubber isolation pads under the feet to reduce vibration transmission.
• Step 4 – Fan balance: Inspect the fan blade for damage or missing balance clips. Replace the blade if bent.
