Possible Causes
Blocked air outlet or inlet, Fan motor running out of control due to PCB fault, Loose blower wheel on shaft, Incorrect fan speed feedback signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before removing covers.
- Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is blocking the air outlet louvers or intake grille. Remove any plastic bags, curtains, or covers.
- Step 2 – Clean filter and blower: Remove and clean the filter. Inspect the blower wheel for heavy dust buildup that can cause imbalance and overload; clean with a soft brush and vacuum.
- Step 3 – Inspect blower wheel mounting: With power OFF, gently move the blower wheel. If it wobbles or is loose on the motor shaft, tighten the set screw or reposition as needed.
- Step 4 – Reset power: Restore power and test. If E8 recurs, the fan motor or indoor PCB may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
