Indoor unit displays F9 and louver may not move correctly

Possible Causes
Jammed louver blades, Failed stepper motor, Broken louver linkage, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before working on moving parts.
- Step 1 – Inspect louvers: Gently move the horizontal and vertical louvers by hand (if design allows). Remove any obstructions such as foreign objects or warped plastic.
- Step 2 – Listen for motor: When powering ON, listen for the louver motor attempting to move. Clicking without movement suggests a jam or broken linkage.
- Step 3 – Access motor: Remove the front cover and louver assembly to access the stepper motor. Check that the linkage is intact and the motor screws are tight.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Reseat the louver motor connector on the indoor PCB.
- Step 5 – Replace motor: If F9 persists and the louvers do not move, replace the louver stepper motor assembly.
