- Step 2 – Check outdoor fan: Confirm the fan runs properly to cool both the coil and the control box area.
- Step 3 – Inspect control box: Open the control box and gently remove dust from the PCB and heatsink using dry compressed air.
- Step 4 – Technician tasks: A professional can check the heatsink temperature sensor and reapply thermal compound between the IPM and heatsink if necessary, or replace the outdoor PCB.
