• Step 2 – Check IR path: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the indoor unit's IR receiver window.
• Step 3 – Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera and press a button; you should see the IR LED flash on the screen. If not, the remote is faulty.
• Step 4 – Check receiver board: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or display PCB in the indoor unit may be defective and should be replaced.
