Possible Causes

Tripped breaker to Coleman air handler or condenser, Blown low-voltage fuse on control board, Failed thermostat, Open 24V transformer

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn OFF breakers before removing covers. Use caution around live circuits.

  • Verify power: Check that both indoor and outdoor breakers are ON and the outdoor disconnect is inserted.
  • Check thermostat display: If blank, verify 24V between R and C at the thermostat. If no voltage, inspect the transformer and board fuse.
  • Inspect control board fuse: Replace a blown low-voltage fuse with the same rating. If it blows again, there is a short that must be located.
  • Jump test (advanced): At the air handler control board, briefly jumper R to Y and G to see if the condenser and blower start. If they do, the thermostat or its wiring is suspect.
  • Replace faulty components: Replace a failed thermostat or transformer with Coleman-compatible parts.

Warning: Do not use larger fuses than specified; this can damage the control board.
