Possible Causes
Loose multi-pin connector between Coleman-Mach control box and thermostat cable, Damaged thermostat harness, Incorrect dip switch settings on control board, Failed control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect RV power before removing the interior shroud or thermostat.
- Inspect thermostat cable: Remove the thermostat and check the cable for damage. Ensure all wires are firmly attached to the thermostat terminals.
- Check ceiling control box connections: Remove the interior shroud and open the control box. Reseat the multi-pin connector(s) that link the thermostat harness to the Coleman-Mach control board.
- Verify dip switch settings: Compare the dip switch positions on the control board to the Coleman-Mach installation manual for your model (single/dual zone, heat strip, etc.). Incorrect settings can cause F6.
- Reset system: After verifying wiring and switches, restore power and perform a thermostat reset or reconfiguration as directed in the manual.
- Board replacement: If F6 persists with known-good wiring and correct configuration, the control board may be defective and require replacement.
Note: Label or photograph dip switch positions before making changes.
